Irregular Choice: Disney Shoe Room Collection

Ikea Billy shelves with Disney character heeled shoes on
Do you remember earlier in the year I showed you my Disney shoe shelves in the shoe room? I felt I was at the stage that I had enough pairs to put them all in one unit back then and indeed I did, with a couple of shelves to spare. In the months since, I've accumulated several more and by sheer fluke, had the required 32 pairs for my cabinet (8 shelves, 4 pairs per shelf) and 4 boots left over (All Mad Here, Lost Your Muchness, Hot Diggety Dog and She's Hip, He's Hop) that are too tall to fit in anyway. Last time I tried to do most of the shelf arranging with pictures on my laptop, before tackling the real thing (to save energy), but this time I decided to just go for it (with the help of my sister). I felt there were too many to play around with in photo form.

Irregular Choice Disney: Announcement & My Collection

Irregular Choice announced their 8th Disney collection today, Toy Story! Woody and Bullseye from Disney Toy Story with Irregular Choice branding
Coming soon, this is the 6th character partnership we've seen (both Star Wars and Alice In Wonderland had 2 waves) and a collaboration with Pixar for the very first time. I really appreciate how diverse the ranges have been thus far. As "irregular" as Irregular Choice may be, they still manage to be very inclusive and aim for something for everyone in my opinion. The Disney umbrella itself is a broad one, so if you are a fan, that doesn't necessarily mean every story or character appeals to you. Star Wars for example I've never watched and have no interest in, yet there were shoes I liked.  I'm not the biggest Muppets fan, but that collection was my absolute favourite and I wanted everything from it.  So far Irregular Choice have chosen classic characters like Mickey & Minnie, a traditional Disney princess in the form of Cinderella. Something a little quirkier with Alice, a giant stand-alone franchise like Star Wars, then childlike and crazy with the most recent Muppets. So there's been a wide choice and it'll be interesting to see their take on a more 'modern', Pixar film.

Irregular Choice: In Search Of?

I've put together an extensive list of stockists of limited edition or harder to find Irregular Choice styles that may have sold out quickly that you thought you'd missed forever. There's around 60 styles here including character heels, Alice, Cinderella, Star Wars and even some bags.  Be warned a lot of the styles are the last in that size so if you want them, act fast.  I haven't included Australian, US stores etc, because this list took so long to put together at it was.  I'll also add Amazon have a lot of the character heels and Disney releases (though some are sold by US sellers and the sizing is US NOT UK, so watch out for that) but I haven't linked to those either.  While on the point of sizing, double check with the place you are buying from how their sizing works.  Sizes 40 upwards get called different things along with a 36 sometimes referred to as a 3 or 3.5, so it may have gotten jumbled between what they think or I've written.  You'll find size charts with corresponding sizes on all of these sites I would think, so it should be easy to check.  If you want to share this post to help someone find their perfect pairing, please do just that, share the whole post and don't lift segments or the entire text as you can probably appreciate this took a long time (all last week actually) to compile, so it's only fair to credit me for it. All links will open in a new tab, so you don't need to worry about losing your place if there's a couple you want to click on.  That's it, read on to hopefully find the shoes you've been waiting for!    irregular choice character heels disney limited edition stockist information

Irregular Choice: Star Wars Floral Artoo

This week I have the first of my in-depth reviews from the Irregular Choice Star Wars collection, phase 2! No fancy photos I'm afraid, I've not been feeling up to it and couldn't put my hand on anything thematic for the setting, so ordinary pics it is. You can find photos of my other R2D2 heels from this launch (Battle With Artoo) on my feet, over on The Shoe Girl Diaries, though I still have those to review here (and Day Of The Trooper).

Where To Buy: Irregular Choice Star Wars 2

The second Irregular Choice Star Wars collection launched online today at 12pm. I am pleased to say the online queue system worked wonderfully on the IC site and we were able to look around and shop in a virtual orderly fashion with no crashes or slow running pages, whoop!  Seeing as my Alice post was so popular last time, I thought I'd list current stockist information of which styles and sizes are available from where. I didn't do it this early last time, so obviously the numbers are going to change considerably throughout the day and over the weekend, as it's the first day. Physical stores won't be getting stock until next Wednesday (1st June), it was only online that launched today. I will keep updating this page as more stock arrives/returns are made, so keep an eye out.
This time I've also split the stockists into UK/Worldwide, so you can easily choose between them. As always, remember goods coming from overseas are subject to customs charges/import duties and these can vary depending on the total value of your order and which company is delivering. Some of these sites offer low or free postage to overseas buyers, but you do have to consider customs as an extra. I'll again link to this Facebook group and also this one, where private sellers will no doubt be listing their purchases if they didn't fit or they ordered more than one size.  Auction sites such as eBay will also likely have some styles, but sellers often have to charge considerably more than rrp in order to recoup their costs, due to fees from both eBay and Paypal.  I've written sizes below as they appear on the websites-so some of the American sizes will need converted (others already show the European size) and remember the likes of Schuh call a 36 a 3.5, whereas Office and IC call them 3's. Schuh offer next day delivery for just £1 and they will arrive tomorrow (Saturday) if you order today before 10pm, they also offer Sunday delivery for £1.  Otherwise standard delivery is free, Scorpio and Office are also free and Monday is a bank holiday, so not all postal services/couriers will be operating.  Pah, do they not know we are desperate to see our shoesies?! Some of the styles from the first SW collection have been replenished in limited numbers on the IC site, but I haven't linked to those.  Also check out the exclusive R2D2 colourway available from Think Geek at the bottom of this post.  If there's anywhere I haven't mentioned, please comment below and I'll add them to the list for everyone to see. Go forth and buy!

Video: Irregular Choice R2D2

I tried to get some photos this week of my R2D2 heels (last day to save 20% today with code FAB20) for Shoesday Tuesday, but the lighting was terrible, so I'll have to re-attempt it this coming week. Instead I put together this video, so you could see how they look on the foot. I'm trying to make more of an effort with my YouTube channel after neglecting it for a long time. I said this last time, but it's much easier with my webcam now and I find these little shoe videos easier to produce, so do let me know if it's the type of thing you'd like me to continue to do.

Irregular Choice: Star Wars R2D2

It's been a hectic couple of days with the launch of the Irregular Choice collection of Star Wars shoes. As always I wanted to bring you the photos as soon as possible (the shoes arrived yesterday), but I didn't want to rush the post last night and as midnight loomed, I instead opted for a good sleep (my neighbours throwing a Halloween party had other ideas)! I've been so busy with the blog and bloggy things lately, that I've been going to bed an hour later and getting up an hour earlier, so I've been feeling a bit frazzled. I spoke about the excitement and anticipation of this launch in my last post, which had been building for some time. On the day that turned to worry and stress that I perhaps wouldn't get the shoes I liked and it was also really sad for me, because I'd been invited to the VIP pre-launch, but couldn't go. Day to day I cope pretty well, but there are occasions when I'm reminded of how much being ill totally sucks and of the past 13 years this was definitely one of the hardest things to turn down! The atmosphere that day and also the opportunity to meet many of the lovely friends I've made blogging and sharing our love of shoes, is something you really need to experience in person and not through a computer screen, so I was hugely disappointed (actually gutted) that I couldn't be there and really sorry I had to miss it. That said, it's been lovely to see all the photos from the day and the bag-fulls of goodies you've bought, but hopefully one day we shall meet! Ok so onto the shoes, there was a lot of dithering, but I always knew if I could only get one style, R2D2 were probably the pair for me.  A lot of people agreed and these were one of the first styles to sell out everywhere (just a size 3 left on that link, though keep checking to see if they get returns).   Irregular Choice Star Wars R2D2

Irregular Choice: Star Wars Launch

After months of speculation and much anticipation, the time has finally come for the Irregular Choice 'Star Wars' collection. It's a huge collaboration which is likely to appeal to long-time Irregular Choice fans whilst reaching a whole new audience that probably didn't know such exciting and innovative footwear was possible! I'm in the camp of knowing very little about Star Wars, but the characters are so iconic, that they are instantly recognisable even to those that have never seen the films. My knowledge and experience of footwear on the other hand...well we all know that one!  So what do we know about this special range? Irregular Choice Star Wars Skywalker
