My Top 5 Autumn Buys: John Lewis

Image
With the nights drawing in and winter looming, the shops are filled with new season clothes-my favourite time of the year! I'm not sure why, but A/W fashion always gets me much more excited than S/S. John Lewis have launched their fashion magazine online , brimming with new pieces and trends (it's also available free via the app store if you have a fancy phone/tablet/whatever new thing has just launched-'fraid I'm not that tech minded) and they've asked me to pick out my favourites. Hard job, but someone has to do it, wink, wink! I'm happy to see what I'd consider staples and classics rather than entirely 'new' trends and this little lot has me wishing I was instore trying and buying right now!

I Spy A Pretty Shoe

Image
I'd like to think my taste in shoes is quite diverse. For example, I love a lady-like, elegant peep-toe, but am also fond of clumpy platform boots. Sometimes I want frills and glitter and charms and patterns and other times I'm happy with a sleek, plain style. Usually what I wear each day is dictated by my mood and I like having various personalities or sides to my style. Recently though, it seems I've been on a 'pretty-shoe' mission! Ok, so I have bought a couple of pairs of boots, but mostly it's been court shoes and a growing obsession with glitter! If you're flagging mid-week, then this little selection should revitalise you, it's really just an excuse to look at pretty shoes ; ) Above, Carvela 'Antibes' in pink glitter. Remember last year, right before Christmas, my parents took me shopping in Edinburgh for a couple of hours? We went to the Kurt Geiger store and I bought some sale shoes, but spied these pale pink glittery gems tha...

Shoe Haul (Topshop & Kurt Geiger)

Image
I never got the chance to show you my recent shoe buys.  Remember I placed an order with Topshop before Christmas?  I buckled and bought the Louboutin alike pair as a treat and by luck noticed the Lillie cherry platforms that I'd spoken about before had gone into the sale.  At the time they were full price, they'd sold out in my size, so it was surprising to find the red velvet in a 38 and the black in a 39 available for me to buy.  Just as well I got them when I did, as they disappeared in all sizes before the Topshop sale officially started.  I used next day delivery so I'd get them in time for Christmas and got an email to say there was a "delay"  but thankfully they arrived the next day, Christmas Eve and I wore them immediately!  You can see me in the black pair here and on Christmas Day in the red .  Both are extremely gorgeous although some might argue I didn't *need* them both, I certainly didn't plan on buying the red or either actuall...

Imitation Is The...?

Image
When I spied these shoes on the Peacocks website today, I instantly recognised them, anyone else? They are tres similar to my Ediva platforms from KG by Kurt Geiger that I wore a couple of days ago . The same shaped heel, skinny strap and buckle, same platform and in black 'suede' with the contrast ivory toe. They don't have the t-bar or the bow (which make mine super cute) and the heel isn't snake effect like Ediva, but they are still spookily alike. Pretty naughty of you Peacocks!

Shoeaholics/Kurt Geiger Haul Shoes

Image
I wrote a rather lengthy post on how crap my week has been so far (I know and it's only Monday), but then I deleted it and decided to post some shoe porn pics instead! Perhaps it was cathartic just to write it all down and get it out of my system. Anyhow, I hope your day has gone better (seems like this country is going to the dogs though no?) and so here are the shoes I bought from Shoeaholics a couple of months back. That website is still my daily obsession-it's perfect for a shoeaholic like myself ; ) KG by Kurt Geiger 'Ediva' Fashionistas 'Corso Como'

Kurt Geiger Discount

Image
To celebrate Vogue Fashion's Night In, Kurt Geiger will be offering you an exclusive 25% off everything online between 5pm and midnight! The first 25 shoppers of the evening will also receive a free surprise gift with their order. My recommendation would be the glorious Corsa Como from the Fashionistas range which I've had my eye on for weeks. I spotted the yellow pair on Olivia Palermo but it's the green (or blue as they are described on the website?) that I really adore. With discount applied, they become a much more respectable £217.50 (£290).

I Want This...

Haven't done one of these for a little while. It was love at first sight when I saw these sandals. They make me feel all party like and Christmassy! I'm loving the mix of textures; some rough hessian bows mixed with opulent glitter and gems and the muted, neutral colours suggest they'll pretty much go with everything. Kurt Geiger always take care to make the heels of their shoes interesting too, which I appreciate. Imogene are from the KG by Kurt Geiger range and are priced £150, available on their website now.
