The latest Irregular Choice and Disney collaboration is due to hit soon and for the 9th collection, we are being treated to a double release. There will be shoes, boots, bags, purses and tights from both Bambi and Dumbo and today I have a first look at some of the collection.
From Dumbo, we have the adorable Sweet Little Dumbo boots. This shape of heel and platform is a new style for Autumn/Winter 2018 that can currently be found on Frilly Knickers and Let It Be. For this style the right and left boots are slightly different, but I'll talk about the similarities first.
Both have a chunky, pale gold metallic heel with applique, jewelled stars. The main boot features a pale blue sky with glittering, white clouds and a large applique Dumbo across the outer side.
The softly rounded toe features IC's signature scalloped design in glitter and metallic. The boot is ankle length and cut straight across the top, complete with a full-length zip.
The right boot features 'traditional' Dumbo, with his ruffled collar and hat. His giant ear, flopping out the back of the boot. The hat sits upwards from the boot and the platform on this one features red stars on a silver metallic background.
The left boot is Dumbo in his circus performer mode. You'll still find the ruffled collar and hat, this time with an added pink pom-pom and his face is covered in clown style makeup. The platform on this side is boldly striped in silver and red.
We also get a first look at the soles, which are spectacular as always. On the right foot you'll find an image of Dumbo, with Timothy Q. Mouse on the left foot. The insteps are covered in circus tickets and "Dumbo" is spelt across the two soles. The lining is metallic blue with that wonderful half-insole design we saw last year with the cat. One foot will feature Dumbo and the other Timothy, with gold embroidered stars and the Irregular Choice and Disney Dumbo branding.
To coordinate with your fabulous feet, you need tremendous tights, so let me introduce the Makin History Tights. You'll find large images of Dumbo and Timothy set against a bright pink background with bold, blue stars. These tights are 80 denier and available in one size (can fit up to a size 16).
For Bambi, we have the elegant court, Prince Of The Forest. The black uppers are covered in applique and embroidered leaves and flowers in various colours and finishes.
Across the counter you'll find a joyful Bambi figure, which stretches down the heel. The heel shape is similar to that of Original Diva from The Muppets collection.
The lining of the shoe is a black floral print covered in characters from Bambi. Again you'll find the half insole design in metallic lilac this time, with a cut out butterfly shape with the Bambi print peeking through and the usual branding alongside gold butterflies.
The soles are once more different from right to left. Both have a floral pattern which surrounds the woodland scene on the pad of the foot. One shoe features a large image of Bambi, while the other sports Thumper.
A Woodland Tale bag accompanies these shoes. This is a fantastic clutch with one black side, featuring a large fluffy Bambi face and leaves, flowers and acorn to match the shoes.
Flip it over and you have a floral, yellow bunny print background with large prints of Thumper and Miss Bunny.
The clutch zips along the top, with large glitter flowers at the ends of the zip.
Inside you'll find the pouch lined in metallic pink with butterfly shaped labelling.
I really love the floppy ears of both Dumbo and Bambi overlapping the back of the shoe or bag and all the different colours and materials used in each piece. I'm also a big fan of that circus aesthetic, so really love the style of Sweet Little Dumbo and of course, the tights! The collection will be stumbling into stores soon, has anything here taken your fancy?

Do you happen to know the list of US stockists? It seems less and less are carrying irregular choice now.
