Festive Beauty 2022: Day 4
Post contains an affiliate link (which can earn the blog a small commission on purchases made). No gifted PR products in this post.
Each day until Christmas, I'm blogging limited edition, Holiday beauty releases. Yesterday I shared Guerlain's 2020 Golden Bee collection lipstick and today I have a few items from Yves Saint Laurent. Remember to check the bottom of the post for a special discount code or free gift and head over to The Shoe Girl Diaries if you fancy seeing some Irregular Choice Christmas shoes.
YSL released their Dazzling Lights Makeup Collection for Christmas 2017. As is customary, they produce regular line items such as Touche Eclat and fragrances, but in limited edition packaging and there were 5 shades of Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick. All main-line colours, but in special cases for this collection. I got 70 Le Nu, a browny-pink. As you can see, alongside the glitter case, there's a pattern etched into the side of the actual lipstick.
I also got the two shades of La Laque Couture Nail Lacquer (limited edition colours for this collection) in 91 Red Lights and 92 Gold Fire. The red is the most stunning, beautifully twinkly colour you've ever seen as you apply it. However, I'm always disappointed when it dries as it's actually got a matte finish (I didn't know this when I bought it). Matte glitters mess with my brain, I don't understand the concept! As you'll see in the close-ups, the glitter is multi-coloured. The gold is a light gold and it has little straight bits in it as well as more sporadic and less blinding (than the red) multi-coloured sparkles. It really reminds me of a firework sparkler. I've used both shades a lot over the years. FREE Black Opium mini (7.5ml, I'm obsessed with miniature perfumes just now), when you buy any 2 YSL products. Valid until 22nd December or until stocks last (gift will not add to basket if out of stock).
