Flashback Beauty Friday 42: Too Faced Hollywood Glamour In A Box
Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items.
I hope your week is going well. If you missed Flashback Beauty Friday last time, I shared the clinical looking Bourjois Docteur Glamour lipsticks and I have another "glamour" item this week.
This is the Too Faced Hollywood Glamour In A Box palette circa 2005. I was a big Too Faced fan back in their glamour-puss days, though I couldn't always afford it. I just loved that boudoir-esque feel. This palette has several sides, opening up to reveal an eyeshadow quad, 4 lip glosses, blush, shimmer powder and bronzer. Let's take a closer look.
When jet setting in her private jet, the Too Faced glamour girl always keeps her plane stocked with sparkling champagne and shimmering eye shadow! The quad consisted of wearable shades; neutrals and a sweetie pink and deeper plum brown with sparkle and included a tiny fluffy eyeshadow brush.
When strutting down the red carpet, the Too Faced glamour girl always keeps her lips super glossy and her stilettos razor sharp! The glosses were again very wearable, with nudes and your lips but better shades with a pop of bright pink. All colours contain shimmer, the top left being most noticeable and there's a small lip brush for application.
When attending a movie premiere, the Too Faced glamour girl always looks tanned and fabulous with her "Sun Bunny" bronzer duo! It looks a little washed out here, but this is TF's best selling bronzer duo, a beautiful glowing pairing.
When being stalked by the paparazzi, the Too Faced glamour girl always keeps her cheeks flushed and her complexion glowing to insure gorgeous pics in next week's gossips mags! Again it lacks colour here, but the blush duo consists of a beautiful apricot and mauve with micro gold glitters and beneath that, a champagne highlighter. There's a small flat face brush and mirrors in the centre of each palette side. My palettes, mixed ones like this especially, tend to be a little neglected. I really dislike the hassle of using a lip product in a palette as I'm not one for lip brushes, so those glosses have remained untouched all these years, despite being shades I'd wear. This is a nice palette though, wearable, everyday colours and everything you'd need without dipping into another palette. Can you recall this one?
Yes! I distinctly remember skipping this one and then regretting it. I do have almost all the Quickie Chronicles though. :D
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your blog, especially these Flashback Fridays! Very few people hung onto or remember the makeup from the '90s and early 2000s so your posts are an absolute goldmine!
Thank you, that's very kind. I am a hoarder, so thought I'd work it in my favour here. There's some things I feel I can now part with after blogging about them and others I still want to keep. I have a pile of QC to photograph, I thought they were the absolute coolest things back in the day. It's probably what got me into Too Faced.
