Flashback Beauty Friday 30: No7 Summer Limited Edition
Post does not contain affiliate links or PR gifted items.
We're at week 30, so I'm sure you know the drill by now. Flashback Beauty Friday is a series looking back at old beauty products, mostly discontinued or limited edition pieces and their packaging. Last week was the beautiful Givenchy Golden Chantilly gloss and today, I have a couple of No7 limited edition summer palettes.
I reckon these launched at least 10 years ago, maybe 2010ish? I can't find any information on them and I wish I'd noted all of these things at the time, but who was to know I would start this series? 😆 Anyway, both items are still boxed, I have used them though and this is the No7 Rainbow Eye Palette. The outer compacts are a turquoise blue colour, slightly pearly and inside is a mirror and the powder is split into 7 different colours with a letter of RAINBOW inscribed in each one.
The back reads, "A beautiful palette inspired by the vivid colours of the rainbow and a must for this seasons key colour looks. At the beach, or long lazy days at the pool, there's a colour in here for you. With seven great shades the combinations for your eyes will keep you looking right on trend all season long."
Then we have the No7 Sunkiss Eye and Bronzing Palette. I think I only ever used this for the face, swirled together as neutral eye colours didn't used to be my thing. It reminds me a bit of the old Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. This one again has 7 shades, spelling out SUNKISS this time.
The back reads, "A beautiful rainbow inspired eye and bronzing palette for that perfect sunkissed look all season long. These rich shimmery shades can be used individually or blended together for the eyes or swirled together to create a unique bronzing highlighter for the face, neck and décolletage."
I think the rainbow eye palette is really fun, I used to delight in bright, colourful schemes for eye palettes. The bronzing palette was more wearable for eyes, but like I say, I preferred it as a shimmery blush, bronze, highlight type thing. The individual strips are quite narrow for picking up each colour, which would be my only gripe. Anyone remember these?
What a gorgeous palette <3
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute idea, I suppose a bit like the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks.
