Lancome Juicy Tubes 123 Dot Apricot, Yayoi Kusama illustrated tube
A quick and easy one this week. Last time, I showed you one of the blush powders from the 2010 MAC Liberty Of London collaboration. I'm going back to the same year for this specially packaged Lancôme Juicy Tubes lipgloss.

In 2010, Lancôme were celebrating a decade of the iconic Juicy Tubes, which I've spoken about many a time before (ahem, bring them back properly Lancôme, please). This 6 piece collection featured tubes illustrated by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Her trademark polka dots featured on all the tubes, with botanical motifs matching the theme of these more environmentally friendly glosses and her environmental art period.  My shade here is 123 Dot Apricot, which unsurprisingly smells and tastes like apricot, with a butterfly design on the tube. It's a dusky, peachy nude and I've always felt it didn't have quite as much of that high-gloss, super-shiny finish JT's were known for. Each of the other glosses had a different scent and equally fun and colourful illustration.

The tubes were slightly smaller than usual at 10ml (usually 15ml), but in my JT stash pic above, you can see they aren't as small as the mini Gift With Purchase size (it sits between a full size and GWP size in the photo, on the right). As I briefly mentioned above, these glosses were slightly different from usual, classed as "100% Natural Origin" formula.  That just means naturally sourced ingredients, they have honey and shea butter and come in Forest Stewardship Council certified, eco-friendly, cardboard packaging.  Did you remember this little birthday release?
