Versace Wet Lipgloss and Hydrating Lipsticks
I'm back with a collection of lipsticks from a brand I've shared here before. Last week, I showed you the very beautiful YSL Palette Esprit Couture compacts from 2011, definitely worth a nosey if you missed those.

So, Versace, as I'm sure you all know, are an Italian fashion house, but they branched out into makeup in the late 90's. It wasn't until the early 00's that I began buying them and they were discontinued around 2009 (I kinda felt it was slightly before that tbh), which is when I bought the bulk of my collection from discount sites. I've shared my lipgloss collection in the past, so here's the lipstick I own, 2 types, but the packaging is the same for them all.

They came in rounded, gold cases with the textured Medusa head logo in the centre and that instantly recognisable border around the base of the case. The whole line was very cohesive and true to that decadent, flashy, extravagance the fashion brand is also known for.

As you'll see from my swatches in a moment, I have three of the Wet Lipgloss. Yes, they look like a standard, solid lipstick, but Versace named them "lipgloss" for their sheer and shiny finish. You'll likely remember from my past Versace posts that there's no shade names, just forgettable numbers, but I did jot them all down for you. Shown in the line-up and swatches from left to right are, V2007-B, V2010-B and V2008-B.

Then we have two of the Hydrating Lipsticks in V2022-C and V2010-C. As you can see from the swatches, these are much more pigmented. Still with a high shine finish, but creamy, strong colour in pretty much one swipe. I recall reaching for that vampy purple quite a bit, because the colour packed such a punch and it didn't go burgundy, it was a pure, cool toned, purple.

I actually really liked Versace cosmetics, there were a lot of good items in there and the packaging and colours were fun.  I still have a lot more to show you from them.  Did you ever try their lipsticks?
